I put a short story with a lousy cover up on Amazon. A couple of months later, I took it down again. It was October of that year before I published my first novel. and now, well…
I would lying if I said I’d found fame or fortune doing this. But it’s been a fun adventure and I plan to keep on with it.

I used to be a member of RWA and our local chapter. Our chapter had many women who talked about writing but it never seemed to go anywhere. They wrote enough to meet RWA’s standards and then, well, they wrote and didn’t publish because they wanted that contract.
Congratulations! You kept at it and have succeeded.

Yeah, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, and that kind of thing. I’ve never regretted the self publishing journey.
